Justin Tuck on Cam Newton

I agree as well. If he tries to do what he did in college he won't be successful. Thankfully he knows that and is working very hard to be a more complete player. Given all the progress he has made in a matter of 2 months, I think he will be the perfect blend of athletic and a student of the game. His pro day demonstrated considerable progess in the matter of 2 weeks. After a year of this kind of practice and work he could be one of the best.

yeah, only the Peyton Manning's of the world have a chance.....the Big Ben's don't have a shot.

Probably won't get much support on this, but Roethlisberger's not that great.

He's essentially a game manager whose performance gets inflated because he's hard to bring down. His passing isn't even in the same ballpark as guys like Manning, Brady or Brees.

Throw in that of the three Super Bowls he's played in, he was decent in one but stunk in the other two.

Vick isn't even comparable to Newton. Vick was one of the best passers in the league last year, to the point teams could no longer focus on just the rushing aspect of his game.

Also just FYI, in those two games Tuck recorded 4.5 sacks and two forced fumbles. Like I said, he would have no trouble getting to Newton.

and as said above, Vick is much faster and more elusive than Newton.

Ben came out of an option spread offense?

Ben is mobile, but it a pocket passer. He can extend plays, but his running ability doesn't scare anyone.

It's funny, because everybody keeps claiming that Cam can't run in the NFL, but Big Ben can, even though he played against inferior competition in college and couldn't run against them. And you're crazy if you don't think his running ability scares defenses.

He is a winner though and thats all I care about. If they can win, I am happy.

Big Ben... runs? He scrambles. There's kind of a difference. He had 176 yards this year.
