It really does, though. Newton is absolutely a better QB now than Clausen. Clausen took so many bad sacks last year because he wasn't strong enough to break tackles or fast enough to elude them. That alone would make the improvement significant enough to consider it a major upgrade.

If we draft Cam, I'm getting a Newton jersey first day they're available lol. My reaction: I'll be happy, but wont allow myself to get too excited. I'll be too happy with either him, or Gabbert(I just won't buy a Gabbert jersey, lol)

I'd rather not know who we are drafting until it is announced by Goodell at the draft, it will build up the excitement nicely. Otherwise the first day of the draft will be a waste for me as I wont have any surprises to look forward to.

Weeks later sign him to a huge contract.

He enters training camp penciled in as the starter.

Huddle response "damn this is a pretty hardcore smoke screen, can't wait to see how many draft picks we get for him"

Honestly I'm pretty ambivalent on the whole Cam thing. If we draft him I'll be supportive of him like I would any other player of this team.
