What Will Your Reaction Be, If Panthers Decide to Take Newton #1 Before Draft?

I will never support Hurney again. Right now all Cam is is a project that wont help us for 2-3 years. He is not a QB that can come in and help right off the bat. With the first round pick that player should be starter material from day one. Do I think Cam can succeed yes but like I said it wont be til 2-3 years before he is ready. To wish him starting this year is just asking him to fail.

I don't think Newton has enough negatives and he isn't a reach for anyone to be disappointed that we took him #1 overall. We know a few things...he has star power, which would inject a lot of life into this franchise both locally and nationally...and people seem to follow him, which you absolutely need in a QB. Jimmy Clausen is neither of those things.

After watching his pro day workout I won't be disappointed if we select him, and I can't understand why anyone would either. Its not like there is a clear #1 in this draft...we don't have a franchise QB...might as well take a chance on one, considering the successes of first round QB's lately.

dudes got potential to be great, can't be mad at them for taking that..... will it really suck down the road? I don't think so, I think he will be very good. IMO its either him or Gabbert. Which ever the organization feels gives them the best chance to win I'm with it.

Plus he would be a Panther at that point, have to root for him.
