Definitely better than the combine. Some very good throws mixed in with some overthrows and drops. He's unquestionably a work-in-progress. He's not nearly as polished as a Bradford or Ryan coming out. But you can see glimpses of how good he COULD be if his applies himself. And I think that'll be the biggest question with him. Do you think he'll work his ass off to get better, or just rely on his natural abilities? If it's the former, I think he could be very good. If it's the latter, he'll be a tremendous bust. It's a risky pick.

I think the perception of this workout is going to relative to your previous opinion of Cam.

If you had major doubts, you still have them.

If you are a believer, then you still believe.

My opinion: if he is a worker. Im talking, "first in, last out". Then he will be very good.

If he wants to be more showy and not work, then he will be a major bust.

This is where having a feel for someones true personality is key to drafting.

I came out of this feeling more positive about him, but not by much. He's still such a work in progress, I still don't want him at #1, but I can see he IS improving. Though his consistency still needs work he's getting there.

Haha his QB coach is trying to sell him to Buffalo it sounds like... Or really any number of cities, but the reference to playing in an "out door city" (likely suggesting weather, outside of a dome) in a "tough, physical division" made me think of the Bills.

man cam and his whole crew keeps talking about "consistency." the pr is showing through pal. fug me cam and his coach have said that damn word five times in the last 30 seconds. same crap at the combine. news flash cam, you weren't consistent today. you threw it behind people, at their knees, way above them, and way beyond them. it wasn't a terrible performance but it wasn't "consistent" so keep working on that or stfu. he's talented but he annoys the poo out of me.

If I had to describe today for him in one word I would actually choose inconsistent. I thought he made some very nice throws but it looked like he'd miss the same throw coming back to it a few plays later. So I agree with you, and I think he's a work in progress.

But of course, his QB coach is part of his PR team and is trying to sell him to fans and others around the league.

Now I am not a Cam Hugger, but you are definitely hating.

:frown2:

They are bringing it up, because they are probably making a point to get better at it.

I dont think they would be preaching "Arm Strength or Footwork".

Give the kid a break. He wasn't perfect today, but he was much improved.

That's pretty fair.

I gotta say though...TRD is completely full of crap if he actually believes that this kid can't improve. This guy has great feet, and there is absolutely no reason why he can't be much much better by the time he finishes his first TC.

I may not have NFL credentials, but even I can see that he's a little high on those out passes (and other routes) to the right, because his left shoulder comes up little higher than when he throws to the left. IMO, that's a pretty damn easy fix.
