My kid has been waking up a few times a night as well at 12 months old. I read somewhere last week that it's typical for babies to wake up as the approach toddler age, but it's temporary. Didn't see how long it's supposed to last or what the cause is. My damn kid woke up 5 times last night. I got up at mf'n 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. Twice the only way she would stop talking is if I went in there and covered her back up. I don't think she was cold, I think she just wanted to know she wasn't alone. Didn't cry after I left or anything, just went to sleep.

Mine has been sleeping through the night for like 7 months until the last week or so. I did just go do some reading and it is speculated that babies/toddlers do this a few weeks prior to a major advancement, such as walking/crawling/talking, etc.
