Rivera Hitting Road For Newton

The Ravens limit Flacco so much. I've even heard they don't let him change plays at the line because it's too complicated for him(that's a rumor, so take it with a grain of salt). Only reason I believe it is that play last season where Polamalu showed blitz and STILL got a free pass to the quarterback for a game changing sack. It was unbelievably bad that Flacco didn't see that and change the play.. like I'd expect ANY quarterback on our roster to see that and do something about it.

With that said, I'll take a QB who can ride the coattails of a good defense and not turn the ball over any day. Sure as hell beats what we've dealt with in recent years.

He is. Gabbert is having a pro day tomorrow too. Rivera will be at Auburn. Maybe he sends Shula and Chud to Missouri, but I think the pressure on the pick is not based on any one player more than Newton.

From what info I have, I hope we build the defense with the first pick. Stay away from the fool's gold. I see both QBs with high-bust potential.

Everything I have heard from said Missouri's pro day was the 17th. Where did you hear it was the 8th?

The first pick is Cams to lose at this point by all indication. I expect to hear a lot of praise about his pro day coming from the Panther camp regardless of what happens there so dont over react.

Also give up on the trade notion it rarely happens when theres a cant miss guy much less in a crap draft. Other GMs know we dont have the luxury to pass on a QB. The first trade bait spot is Buffalo at three if they ho hum between Peterson and Gabbert. Green and Julio Jones cushion each other enough for a GM to worry about missing one, and the draft is too deep at D-Line for Bowers/Fairley to entice anyone to move up.

That whole notion is just stupid beyond belief.

Nobody on here is going to stop being a Panther fan if the team drafts Newton.

pretty sure most people will be happy with the pick if the coaching staff and scout department think he's worth the pick..

I look forward to your analysis of Newt's intangibles and leadership that makes him such a natural to be our face. Im sure you will be very vocal about that like the tommy jone Jake days. Sing his praises over other qbs. I cant wait.

"whether we like it or not Newt is our leader!"

It's funny how only people who "see racists" and openly think Cam is the only option for our pick gave that post pie. :patriot:

lol it's a roll call of the nut gobblers.

btw why is it that I've seen people like KT argue that drafting Newton would alienate a large portion of our racist hick fanbase only to later claim that he would put asses in seats and sell tons of jerseys.

Also I don't know if you've noticed but there's a portion of our fanbase actively hollering for us to play a black college QB drafted as a wide receiver. They're plenty annoying and stubbornly refuse to wedge their collective bearded faces out of his ass so I figured the Camsketeers on this board could make their first ever friends by joining up with them.
