Dark Horse For Panthers #1: Von Miller?

Okay the same thing people are saying about Von miller should be the same thing people should say about bowers. Our DE position is good we have johnson we have bryaton, Hardy, norwood and Everett Brown. But they still have us taking a DE number 1.That dont make any sense either does it. Shouldnt we just take a position of need. You would think so but most people have us taking bowers. You cant count out Von miller for some reason just because Rivera is looking to set up a hybyrd defense. And plus our linebacker core isnt a strong as it should be.Yeah we have beason but we have some problems at the OLB position because Davis hasnt played a game in about 2 years, Anderson might not get resign just because we have other needs and he will probably be at the bottom of the list.

But if we take a DE Johnson must not be returning to the team.

Best fit for a 3-4 scheme. However, his is a talent. Just because some poster says, "Not best player in draft" does not make it true. Remember, we are all subject to the basic opinions of writers, loyalties, and hype. Nobody knows. The same people who say stuff like "Not the best player in the draft" want Newton or Gabbert.

Von Miller will be very good but LB is not a position of need. We've got to go DT or QB. Patrick Peterson is the only other guy I could see us drafting just because of his huge potential and we may not bring Marshall back.

I could see DE too.

I also think they know what Steve Smith's status is if a CBA is done soon. A trade could throw an AJ Green into talks. But for now, I think we are going DL. QB? I just do not see us reaching like that.

Trade down if you can, even if it means not getting full value. Because to me, there is very little difference between Dareus, Patterson, Fairley, Green, Jones, Quinn, and Bowers. If we added a second rounder and got the BPA from this list, I say great deal.

As for QB, Cam in the first, Kaepernick in the second, Stanzi in the fourth. Some say, "No QB after the first round." I look at skill set, risk, and development and do not care what round. They are all projects of The Golden Calf of Bristol proportions, regardless of round. Risk and time to develop are critical.

Also have to consider our pass happy division and how important having quality corners is going to be for the next 10 years.
