You seem like a crier Boo

Na, Im actually pretty tough haha. But there are 2 things that will make me cry no doubt.

1) weddings

2) babies

I can usually make it through an entire episode of A Baby Story on TLC righhht up until she has the baby and the daddy is holding it. That's where I lose it.

New Year's Eve just before midnight on the riverwalk in downtown wilmington. Said something while we were standing under the lights to the affect of, "Lets start the year off a little differently than we did the last one", and pulled out the ring.

I can only imagine it involved some sort of kitchen/sandwich story

I was young and dumb. Didn't know the way of a woman's appropriate role in the house hold. I used the old "guess we better get married since you're pregnant" trick....combined with the "here" method of when I got the ring.

Dont remember. We went out for drinks one Friday night, I had scored some peyote buttons earlier in the week and though it would be fun to go to a club and trip. Ate the peyote about 9:00 and from there it all gets real fuzzy. There are memories of weed, LSD, ether, and cocaine but no real sense of time. I know for a fact that either Saturday or Sunday night was spent in a bus stop in Madison Wi. Sobered up the next Thursday and we were in Vegas married.

ok not really but the truth is so boring its painful

That was a normal Tuesday night when I was in my 20's.

First time: (MamaSan #1): We were in South America 1983 and things were getting crazy. She was there for the Peace Corps and didn't want to leave. She was there teaching english and helping locals find relatives they could relocate to to get away from the violence. I told her that she could've stayed up to the last minute if she was a military dependant and qualified for a MAC flight.

She asked how could she become a dependant and I said "Marry me." She said yes and we got the village priest to marry us on the spot.

Second time: (MamaSan #2) We were hanging out in a Sheraton with my ex-coke dealing cousin totally high on blow (it was a long weekend). I was feeling romantical and we alrready had 2 kids so I just got down on my knee and proposed. She said yes and we did another 8 ball to celebrate.

This time (MamaSan #3): I knew I was going to propose. We had been doing the "magnetic attraction" thing for a few years and it was time for me to settle down again. I went ahead and chose the ring and paid for it at the jewelers in the mall. I let the salesman in on what I was gonna do and tipped him an extra 2 hunny for his acting abilities.

I told her I needed to go by the mall to get a pair of converse (shoe store right next to jewelers). As we were walking by, I told her I needed to look at a bracelet for my daughter. When we got to the counter and after looking at a few bracelets, I asked him if he had anything my GF might like and he went around and pulled out the ring I bought and had sized.

She freaked a bit and I asked her if it was ok. He handed me the ring, I got down on one knee and proposed. By then a crowd had gathered and everybody was clapping. It was one of the busiest intersections at the mall and I totally forgot to include the crowd factor.

One of the happiest days of my life...
