Shane is definitely a loose cannon. I hate him but kinda root for him at the same time. He would make a good villain.

From what I've been reading, the Governor is a strong possibility this season.

I doubt the governor is going to be this season. They've got too much to do before the governor. I could seem him being a cliff hanger during the season finale though. I read an interview with Kirkman and he said he does know who the governor would be though. How bad ass would it be if Shane left and ended up becoming the governor.

I read on CNN.com that the show has taken significant hits in ratings each week since the premiere.

AMC is very inexperienced and if they want to get people to tune into the new show starting Sunday about the railroads, I don't see how pulling TWD would garner viewers.

I have to be honest, season two hasn't been as good as season one. I don't really have a concrete reason as to why... I think it may be because they are done with the initial "shock" of the story line and have to do some character development now...

well I think one reason this season is moving slow is to try and develop the characters. Thats when you can really get people hooked. They weren't able to do it last year because it was only 6 episodes, and honestly I think it surprised AMC how successful it was.

PS I still haven't seen anything that confirms there is no episode this week.

The rating are low, but they haven't been that bad. AMC is happy with the show. I just don't understand moving Hell on Wheels in so fast.
