Fisher and Ron Rivera were teammates/colleagues with the Bears. Young almost got Fisher fired before he decided to leave town (and probably contributed to that decision).

I seriously doubt Rivera would pick up a player who caused so much trouble for an old teammate. At the very least, you'd expect he'd get the inside scoop from Fisher.

Hard to imagine Fisher would endorse him, especially given he knows way more stuff than the general public.

You're right about that. Although, I wouldn't be mad if it did. However, I see Rivera as a no nonsense type of guy and I just don't think he and VY would mix well.

Yeah what about him finding a young QB with high potential as UDFA. Now he should be held accountable for not bringing in vet competition last year (but who knows how much authority he had) and also for not bringing in any DT quality the last 2 years. But he is still a decent GM that half the other teams in the NFL would love to have.

And anyone saying there is no chance of us signing (I do doubt we trade for that contract) is forgetting the "No chance" player we have already signed. Anything is possible considering HOORAY Fox is gone!

Some Dallas scouts found him, he looked a bit like a poor mans Romo, and they tried to sneak Moore onto their ps. Hurney liked him a lot, and we were able to take him from Dallas. He was groomed as Jake's eventual replacement. So the fate of our franchise was resting on the shoulders of Matt Moore. Imo, the fate of Hurney's career should have been resting on Moore's shoulders as well, and when he flopped I would have sh!t canned Hurney. Done.

If you look at the horrible QBs we drafted while we had Jake, then you might be filled with rage. Then again, some of the fans here are a little off.

If there's one thing I'm pretty sure about this offseason, it's that we don't pick up VY. He had plenty of talent and ability to go far in the league but he is one of the most moronic and immature (and seemingly psychologically imbalanced) players I've seen in a while.

There's some things you just don't do in the sports world. One is walk out on your teammates. Moss did that once and he was sent to Oakland for his crimes. If Moss can't get away with something like that with HIS talent, VY doesn't have a chance. And that's not even considering the coaching clashes, the suicide watches, etc. I'd rather we draft Blaine Gabbert than pick up VY, and as I've said in other posts, I REALLY don't like Gabbert. He's gonna be the biggest bust of this draft, IMO.
