With the 65th pick in the 2011 draft

Yea, Taylor will probably go before Austin. Some people are saying late first with the way he was able to move at the combine. Austin is probably a lock for no later than mid 2nd, now. Rudolph will be gone in the second I'm pretty sure. Stocker's pretty solid, he's similar to Barnidge, so I could see that as a reason not to go for him but I think he's a big bigger than Barnidge and a better blocker. I think Stocker could be a Shockey type TE, which makes him a perfect pickup since that's who he'd be learning from this year. He's no blazer, but he seems solid in the blocking game and pretty sure-handed.

Someone gimme a good list to choose from

Italicized players will be ones that will probably go in the 2nd, but there's always players still available in the mid rounds you thought would go a round earlier.

-Marcus Cannon, G, TCU

-Marvin Austin, DT, North Carolina

-Luke Stocker, TE, Tennessee

-Rodney Hudson, G/C, Florida State

-Greg Little, WR, North Carolina (don't really need this position unless it's the next great star, but he's a value pick here I think)

-Allen Bailey, DE, Miami (same as above)

-Orlando Franklin, G, Miami

-Jerrell Powe, NT, Ole Miss (probably make Hardy happy..)

-John Moffitt, G, Wisconsin

-Jarvis Jenkins, DE/DT, Clemson

-Pat Devlin, QB, Delaware (I'm a bit meh about getting another QB after the 1st round, I'd rather go vet and Clausen for this year and try to trade up for a franchise guy next year, but what I've seen on Devlin has been impressive)

-Sione Fua, NT, Stanford

-Brandon Harris, CB, Miami

-Stefen Wisniewski, C/G, Penn State

-Ras-I Dowling, CB, Virginia

Yea he does. Hopefully this is an indicator of his "questionable motor" I've read about. An unmotivated kid doesn't stay in THAT kind of shape over the course of a year without football. He looks completely solid, and his bench and 40 numbers back that up.

If Austin were to fall to us at 65 that would be a godsend. I doubt he stays on the board that long, but we can dream right? As an NC State fan, I can attest to what a disruptive force this guy can be when motivated.

Here's a question... would you guys support Hurney trading next year's 3rd rounder along with this year's 3rd rounder to move into the mid-2nd to take Marvin Austin to ensure that we get him? Keep in mind we're likely getting a late 3rd as a comp. pick for Peppers, but those picks can't be traded.

HELL yes. Would probably take next year's 2nd and this year's 3rd to do it though. And I would STILL support it if we got Austin in the mid 2nd.

Yep, but I don't know how that matches up with the value chart.

Dareus and Austin would be a very good tandem for a while, we'd have one of the youngest and most talented DL's in the league.
