So I just saw an ad on USA for Raw this coming Monday. Stone Cold is going to be on. The Rock, Triple H, now Stone Cold? It's like the attitude era is having one big, badass reunion. I know, wrestling haters are gonna hate, but those of us who like seeing some of the guys we liked when we watched as kids, he's back. Albeit, probably not more than just this one show.

See, wrestling has generally always had around the same ratings, because people watch as kids, get older, grow out of liking it, stop watching, but there is another batch. But in every generation, there are some (such as myself for a while) that watched it on up until their late-teens, early 20s, or beyond. Well, since they went all PG and lost all the good characters (The Rock, Undertaker, OLD Kane, Stone Cold, etc) and replaced them with STUPID ones (Santino, King Sheamus, John Cena) they lost a LOT of credibility with our (20s+) crowd. So, we stop watching. Ratings plummet in comparison to the norm, so, bring the old crowd back by bringing old characters back. Very wise business move, really.

NWA, MACW, Mid South, Memphis, and all the old territories held an older audience. I wish WWE could do the same, but now they're marketing to kids and the MMA wannabe crowd. No true personalities that come through the organization in the last few years. I watched a bit this past Monday and saw that the Miz was the WWE Champ. That's pathetic.

closed minded statement. Pro Wrestling has a lot of entertainment value when done right. I love the local organization that comes through my town and many other surrounding local organizations. They hold entertaining cards and have characters that you can get behind or love to hate. I just wish there was a national organization that could get it right too.

Not sure why wrestling gets all the hate. Yeah, it's fake (the outcomes are predetermined, but the boys still get hurt and it takes a lot of talent to be good at it), but so are reality tv shows, sitcoms, and movies, yet no one hates them for being fake/scripted. I don't get it. Just b/c it's redneck?
