I can't remember which thread it was, but it wasn't in LL. It was in the lounge, I think. It was a pic of a cartoon. I remember I didn't click on it or anything. This happened about a month ago probably. It happened once before but maybe a year ago?

IDK... never happened to me on the huddle, but I have gotten virus scares from "other" sites before... I have spyware detection running 24/7 and it usually catches everything.

If that ad at the top of the page gets infected, it could infect everyone. Malware is becoming tricky now....however, OP...it most likely came from somewhere else.

noscript works very nicely... I could visit porn sites on my work computer and still feel relatively safe.

Well usually what I post here I post somewhere else, and no problems with anything there. And they are always on the look out for anything dirty. So it's not me. :)

To prevent this:

Use Windows for safe normal sites hopefully including the huddle

Use Mac for porn and other sketch sites.

It has worked so far for me, but my work Windows PC runs full time anti virus anti spyware so who knows...

I had a thing pop up yesterday stating that this site wasn't safe and there was something attempting to do something. This is the second time it's happened. I use Kaspersky.
