So it happened to me for the 4th time... A pop window pops up telling me my pc is inficted with virus and it promts me to download something from 3rd party website which infact is a virus. I tho maybe something was wrong with my laptop... Then it happened on my brand new pc while surfing huddle and now it happened on my pc at work.

Does this happen to anyone else?

I mean how long since you have been going on the internet? Since its inception?

Never Download something you didnt initially want to download in the first place on the interwebz.

First rule of The Interwebz

Oh, did not download it... Huddle is the only website I go to on my work pc. Everything else is blocked 0_0

It didn't come from the huddle, unless you clicked a link someone else posted. I forget the exact name of that virus, but if you ever get a prompt with a yes and no question box, do NOT click no. CLick the red x at the top right of the browser. If it pops up again, you are likely already infected. Another option is just hard power off the laptop and not click anything. That virus cannot really be removed, so good luck. That thing could have been on there days ago, laid dormant, then popped up a few days later. One way to tell if you are definately infected is go to google and search for virus removal software. If when you click one of the links to look on how to remove the virus, IE will display a page that says something like "this page cannot be displayed".

Yes, that's happened to me a couple of times. IIRC there was a pic involved.

Next time, just shut down your comp. Actually, if clicking the red X in the top right didn't work, you were likely already infected from a previous browsing session. Those interweb pron pics can be a bitch

No pron on the huddle!!! ;)

Does it start running a scan?

It appears as if it is running a scan. Lots of flashing red borders on the window.

    • i think i go in the opposite direction of most. my ideal retirement is living in some old downtown area in a flat above some shop or something.  life out in the country was just something i got real tired of. My kids actually miss some of living out there, which i understand. that was where they grew up for the most part. 40 acres with a 2.5 acre pond. it was beautiful, but also way too much (and too expensive) for me to keep up with.
    • FLASHBACK: I remember back when ESPN was just starting--he was their anchor.  They used to show stuff like Rodeo and field hockey--I remember laughing when he went to a commercial mocking a cycling competition in Utah (or something similar--I made that up) and I laughed.  I told my dad, "We may have us a new anchor when we get back from commercial."  When they came back from commercial, Berman was looking very serious and he said, "Any comments by me do not reflect the views of ESPN....The men and women who cycle are dedicated athletes and we are honored to shine light on their sport." (Paraphrasing).  Dad laughed hysterically. My first memory of him--and that was like 1980.
    • Might not have a team without them. Although that probably applies to the Panthers, too.
