and a good defensive line, and a secondary that can cover receivers better and an Offensive line that has some depth with a RT that can stay healthy.

signing fa's should really be a last resort and even then only to put a team "over the top" not generate moderate success. we have a lot of holes to fill and the best way to generate long term growth is from within. there's a reason that teams are willing to part w/their free agents. . .it's b/c they typically aren't players to build around (save a few notable exceptions). doesn't mean they are terrible in a vacuum. they can range from productive, but overpaid to just vanilla stopgaps but they are typically stopgaps in the best case
