Mike Sims-Walker to be a UFA

If we Draft Patrick Peterson at #1, which is a possibility but I doubt it, You can Kiss Armanti Goodbye. PP would play CB and return Punts\kickoffs. As far as a waste, last season was the definition of waste.

that doesn't make sense.

I'd just keep going with Gettis/LaFell - unless Chud wants to go with fug it and chuck it 4 wide on offense.

And to this day every time I say his name in my head, it's in Gus Johnson's Oprah like call at the end of the Jags Hail Mary game.

Ditto, Gettis/LaFell have the potential to be better then MSW but they'll never get there unless they get the opportunity to play significant time. Unless we traded Steve Smith (I don't think we're going to) then I wouldn't want MSW. Even then I would rather just draft A.J. Green at that point and start fresh with a kid who's going to be a BEAST at WR for 10 or more years....

Its a huge waste if we gave up a 2nd and a 3rd on Armanti and then cut him the next season. He deserves one more shot with a staff that isn't a lame duck.

For the last fuging time....pay attention, it is not hard.

We DID NOT give up a 2nd and a 3rd for Edwards. We gave up a 2nd for him.

We traded our 2nd for a 3rd....and then used that 3rd to pick him

I agree that both Gettis and Lafell have a lot of potential. But Sims-Walker is already a good wide reciever. Our offense was completely horrible last season and we need all the help we can get. Drafting Green or brining in Sims-Walker if I had a choice I'd take Sims-Walker and draft Dareus #1 overall.

Why do you not think we are trading Smith? All signs point to a trade from my perspective.

Closed meeting with JR

Frustrations with youth / QB

Wants his last years to be with a winner--possibly pro bowl

Rivera saying "Smith is on the team FOR NOW....We need to evaluate whether SS fits our needs and we fit his." (something to that effect)

How many 5' 9" WRs were on the Chargers' roster last year?

He has some value and, frankly, our young kids don't need him around. He is a bully and his antics could be counterproductive.

I know, I know. "X-Clown 2003, dude!!!" TRY THIS: "X-Town 2011, dudes!" (Bad joke)

Many say Sims-Walker was exposed last year. He apparently has real issues beating press coverage because he can't beat the jam at the line. He was a decent red zone target but his numbers were off last year because he couldn't consistently get open and Mike Thomas starting getting the looks. Maybe he could work out in a better system with different coaching but I wouldn't be willing to pay the price to find out.

If we sign this cat, we won't have enough money to bring in Asomugha.:D Besides, I like the group of guys we got. Also, Alshon Jeffery will probably be coming out next year. We need to start making provisions for bringing him in.

Patrick Peterson is a return man as well as a CB. Why would you keep Armanti in that situation. PP is bigger, faster and stronger than AE. That's all I'm saying.:cheers2:

I just don't see how AE is going to get any playing time. I would love to see him excel and maybe RR can find a way to use him if they deem him coachable as a WR.
