NFL's 2009 Fantasy Predictions

Lt Pinkerton

They should have him doing better, the dude is consistent (even with his fumbles) and Deangelo just had one breakout year. You're going to hear a lot of people say this about Deangelo for next year: "Yeah but can he do it again?"

Thing is, we all know he can.

Yeah cause it only takes 2 years of good numbers to call someone consistent.

I'm just basing that of what I've watched from AP his two years, and what I've seen from Deangelo this year. Crazy good talent, solid offensive line, and a more than capable RB2 to give them a breather. There is no reason to think that these two won't produce for years to come, barring injury.

Besides, I meant game in, game out consistency. 2 seasons seems like a small number, but think of it like this, that is 32 games of consistency. In the NFL. So yeah, I'm going to say AP is consistent. People know he is the Vikings main threat, and he goes out and produces for 32 straight games.

correction...williams had a breakout half season.

people seem to forget that williams was asleep up until the bye week. he only slightly outperformed stewart. stewart had more rushing TDs and had the same 4.0 ypc that williams did. the only reason why williams had more yards is because he touched the ball more.

i was contemplating dropping him off two of my fantasy teams because his numbers were only average. sure he was on pace to break 1k yards...but big whoop. i only kept him because i had a feeling the run game would explode after the bye.

1st half 522 yards 3 rushing TDs.

2nd half 993 yards 15 rushing TDs

peterson's first half...823 yards 6 rushing TDs and almost 4.5 ypc.

if williams had performed the entire season the same way he did the second half, there would be no question as to how he would perform next season. he would have locked down league mvp, and the nfl would have been swinging on his nuts right now.

so the question does stand, will he be as effective next season as he was the second half of last?
