I wouldn't worry too much about this. Smith + LaFell + Gettis + healthy Shockey + Williams/Stewart + healthy o-line = one hell of an offense. Just find a solid QB & we're playoff material IMO

Without reading the entire thread I think this is good. If I'm correct every team Shockey has been on has won a Super Bowl! (NYG / Saints) Now if we can just get someone to start sleeping with a Kardashian to get that good luck booty too! I will take one for the team and do KIM :)

Brown isn't going to trade Palmer.

He let go of Esaiason after a similar scenario and the drafting of David Klingler.

He gets the number one, he can pick whoever he wants and follow the same path.

Wow, they did sign him....or so it seems.

Will admit I was wrong about thinking that they wouldn't sign him.

Hard to get excited about the signing though. He'll have a roll, but thought Rivera wanted 1 TE that can do it all. If so, why would he want Shockey, who hasn't completed a season in years, and was subbed so much last season? Doesn't make a lot of sense to me. There has to be other plans. Prolly a late round pick on a TE. I was also one hoping they'd go after Miller, but with no CBA currently, maybe this is an insurance plan?

1 year deal is good, as we ain't on the hook for a lot of money. He will bring some more swagger to the offense.

Wonder what Steve Smith thinks of this? So many consider him gone, but until he is gone, I'm going to to continue to believe he is still a part of this team this year.
