Doesn't this stall our look for the premier TE? Shockey is old and washed up. Known for his attitude, I know he and Smith will mix it up at some point. This was a bad signing. All I can hope for is that they signed him for depth, and not expecting him to be the guy.

You're assuming #89 will still be on the team. Not a given at this point.

I agree. That is a perfect position to be in for both sides. If he shows in camp to be the man, then he starts. At that point he will be highly motivated to perform. Moore to Shockey...touchdown! Sounds good to me.
