I really don't like this move. I thought they would go with someone younger like Zach Miller or through the draft. Did you guys watch him play last year? Every game he looked beat up and was constantly being subbed out for the Saints younger TE.

Not much get a veteran QB and some Oline and Dline help and we are set. I would say veteran WR but I think that would hurt our WR's growth.

I agree we don't need a vet a WR. I thought despite the QB play our recievers looked good especially Gettis. If Armanti improves which I think he will the offense will be in good shape with another QB on the roster.

Doesn't this stall our look for the premier TE? Shockey is old and washed up. Known for his attitude, I know he and Smith will mix it up at some point. This was a bad signing. All I can hope for is that they signed him for depth, and not expecting him to be the guy.

I'm pretty sure that he's not gonna be the long term solution. I'm happy with the signing because I bet we draft a young TE in the next 2 years to call our own. If I remember right John Clayton said this draft class isn't the best TE dept wise and that 2012 will be better.
