Cam "perfect" in combine interview

I love the denial here. First he wasn't worthy of the #1. Then he was a project. Then he had character issues. Then he didn't throw well. But now that a ton of experts are saying he'll go #1 and we're gonna take him, it's a smokescreen.

You people kill me.

I've yet to see all these links to tons of experts saying he is the clear cut #1. Tons of them say it is the most wide open crap shoot in years at the combine in terms who to take at #1. I just hope people are around to man up if he doesn't pan out as this messiah you guys make him to be.

Tons of experts are all over the place on this guy. Some say he'll go #1, others say he is mid first round. There is no consensus on him because he is a project. That doesn't mean someone won't grab him #1 but it does make him hard to project because teams have to fall in love with his potential more than what he is now.

Russ Lande, that was an ex-NFL Scout and now heads up the Draft part for the Sporting News doesn't even like him in the first round period. Like Mav said, Scouts are all over the place. You can even go so far as he is more of a project than Armanti with the amount of investment being placed in him going in the first round with so many unanswered questions.

lol if by tons of experts you mean tons of random mock drafts by random no name sports writers who know absolutely nothing about how the Panthers front office works...

and just to add to that...most, if not all experts I've seen aren't saying we'll take NEWTON #1. They're saying a QB will likely be taken #1. Whether that's Gabbert or Newton is yet to be known. Newton just happens to be the best QB prospect AT THE MOMENT so he's being put at #1.

LOL!!! Everything is a smoke screen. My head is spinning. Maybe there was something to all the buzz floating around yesterday that Panther81 was referring to.

At this point I don't know what to believe

For all we know this could a smoke screen to get somebody to reach for Cam

Yes, Charles Davis, an NFL.com Analyst is a random no name sports writer.
