Kiper says Cam now '10-12 area in draft'

Well maybe if you would stop acting like an annoying little kid, somebody would hire you.

I chose to leave. I was young and didn't want to join the grind. I took a nice cushy corporate finance job with an awesome company. I then changed my mind again and now fight because I love competing. Contemplating giving up my office job and fighting full time due to some recent opportunities.

My mind swirls sometimes.

Did a quick search for previous quotes about Kiper. Here's what was said about him when he was talking about Newton as a top five guy.

Mel is usually right on the money with his picks(minus jimmy) and is usually a good indicator of draft stock. Say what you want about him but he does have connections around the league with sources you me or those other 102 people could dream about. Your point is mute.

No one is perfect...Even with the jimmy deal mel is about as good as it gets when trying to judge draft stock. No one gets it right all the time and he has connections you don't. I'll take his word over urs 9 times out of 10

He'll be #1 on his board in a few weeks.

Keep in mind that Kiper is getting his information from his NFL insider contacts, and that happened even before this workout. Say what you will, but there aren't many people more connected than Kiper when it comes to draft information. Also, when Kiper was on today, the host (don't know the guys' name) said that an NFL GM told him that Newton was farther along than Vince Young was at this point, and he was the #3 overall pick.

It was obvious to me that this was going to happen, and I believe Cam's stock will rise even higher before it's over because he's going to impress scouts and GM's in the interview process too. Wait and see.

I just watched Mel Kiper on my TV Screen say Newton was the best QB in the draft above Gabbert. His latest mock has Newton at #3 to the Bills (up 7 spots from his last one). He said he moved Newt up because of what he's hearing from his sources and NFL brass. Hmmm. Still 2 months to go til the draft...

So guys, what's the opinion of Kiper now? :sosp:

I wondered if you'd find this thread, Mr. Scot.

Just wait, plenty of time for Kiper to put him at #1 on his big board.

The check just needs time to clear. ;)

My opinion of Kiper is unchanged. The amount of knowledge he carries around in his head about the measurables of players is impressive. As an analyst, he's decent, but definitely not the best out there. Mayock is better, but the best I ever read was PFW's Joel Buchsbaum, a guy who passed away some years back (at only age 48 or 49 if I remember right).

I'm sorry, but it really bothers me when people make these kinds of accusations without any hard evidence. I don't like Kiper either, but the man is innocent until proven guilty just like the rest of us. Every one of these guys have contacts with agents, so that doesn't mean anything.

it bothers you that i stated my opinion of mel kiper on an nfl related internet message board?

come on now...
