Kiper says Cam now '10-12 area in draft'

I hear folks say on NFL Sirius that the best fit for Newton is with Buffalo and Chan Gailey who wants a big mobile quarterback. With Fitz tostart while Newton grooms for the job they would have the present and future covered.

As such he won't be there past 3.

Kiper is PAID by agents to advocate and denounce certain players. The higher the player goes the more money the agent gets... Kiper is just a tool for them. His opinions are useless. If they weren't he would have had an NFL GM or at least a scouting position by now...

How do you know that? Do you have proof that agents are paying Kiper to talk up certain players? And FTR, I guarantee you that Mike Mayock has plenty of contact with agents too, and that has been used by agents to tout their clients. That doesn't mean they are paying him. Every agent worth his salt is looking for any and all angles to make their clients and themselves money.

As Kiper's job, why in the world would he want the pressure of being an NFL GM or scout, when he can make plenty of money at ESPN and not worry about getting fired if he is wrong about a couple of players?

I do not see the tools in Scam. I hope he does not end up a Panther. If he does however, I am gonna cross my fingers and hope like hell he adjusts to real life where people that are actually capable are going to be trying to decapitate him every week. If he relies on his athleticism alone he will not last long if at all.

The future just does not look bright for the guy.

You havent read about Kipers relationship with Pickles agent? Is it a mystery as to why he had this kid rated so highly aka "NFL READY QB" and how much of a joke and NOT NFL READY he turned out to be?

The reason why Kiper isnt an NFL scout isnt by his choice... it's because he misses so terribly on players that he would be fired very quickly. Any organization would be out of their minds to hire him. The guy is just a mouthpiece and has his hair done by Lockheed Martin quarterly.

This isnt something I made up or an opinion I hold on my own... OK, the part about his hair is my doing.

Are other analysts on the take? It's certainly possible... the saying "money talks" is famous for a reason. I think it's naive to assume that this just doesn't occur.

And they are guessing. He has never said he wants a big mobile QB. In fact Buddy Nix the GM said he wouldn't draft one hit wonders when he took the job last year. Hummm....

So because he was wrong about Clausen and knows his agent, that proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that he's on the take? Can you give me even one other example? Jason Taylor has the same agent and has said he loves the man like a father, does that mean Kiper is on his payroll?

And BTW, this all came from that article by the former agent who confessed to paying players, but he said that he was never asked to pay a player when he was working with Wichard. The only thing he said about Kiper, was that he ended up on a 3 way call and that he was talking up a player. There was no evidence that this was set up beforehand with Kiper's knowledge or that he was paid for it. If there were evidence, then he wouldn't have a job at all right now.

I don't like Kiper much either, but that doesn't mean the man is dirty, and he is right about more players than he's wrong about. Nobody is perfect in this business, including the scouts that are actually working for NFL teams. They get it wrong sometimes too.

Agree to disagree...

It's that easy.

I'm sorry, but it really bothers me when people make these kinds of accusations without any hard evidence. I don't like Kiper either, but the man is innocent until proven guilty just like the rest of us. Every one of these guys have contacts with agents, so that doesn't mean anything.

So you need him to be arrested and then taken to court in front of a jury before you believe anything?

Nothing he did was illegal so innocent or guilty is irrelevant.

We heard from someone directly involved in all of this that Kiper was paid to inflate draft stock, what more do you want?

Everyone is at this point. Some people have Buffalo taking Cameron Jordan.

Plenty of time for that to change between now and April 25th.
