Newton- if your QB is going to the probowl 2 out of 5 years, you're gonna be in the playoffs AT LEAST 2 of those years- and the years that he's not in the prowbowl, he's still a prowbowl caliber QB- one who is GIANT and can run...that just makes too much sense to me.

Im surprised at the lack of PP7 love with 4 probowls.

remember, we can still draft a QB next year.

Why can't anyone else understand this logic? Some are like "QB NAO, OR WE SUK 4EVER!!1!1!" Thank you for putting a logical and relevant post, my friend.

What if you knew how many pro-bowls the top prospects at their positions were going to have. Since QB is more important position lets give them less.

*I know probowls are not the best measurement of NFL success.

PP7- 4 probowls in 5 years.

Newton- 2 probowls in 5 years.

Gabbert- 2 probowls in 5 years.

Fairley- 3 probowls in 5 years.

Dareus- 3 probowls in 5 years.

Which one would you take?

Why?

How many probowls would it take to alter your choice to someone else?

I know there are soooo many other variables, such as QB's winning % and playoff success, but just humor me.

The pro bowl no longer means what it used to anymore so why would it matter? Since it is no longer for just the top players, people get into the pro bowl because the 6 people ahead of them at that position don't want to play, so how can making a pro bowl measure how good a player is?

It can't

lol I love how all the prospects end up doing well. That's easy of course, pick the QB. Good QB's are necessary for a team to win a superbowl. If anyone wants to use this thought experiment towards drafting a QB however, that would be silly. It only works this way when that QB actually ends up doing well.
