i'd say two pro bowls would make you a good young QB. Don't give me that VY is a good QB argument though, he got defaulted into the pro bowl the other year because a few QBs couldn't go. David Garrard did too.

I guess if they are legitimately voted into the pro bowl then yeah, they are good, but the OP didn't specify this.

Well thats kind of the point.

I think Cam is the type of player that could default on the probowl because of popularity.

So would 2 probowls mean more for Gabbert or Newton?

That is why I chose probowls as opposed to All-Pro.

PP7 will probably get the majority of those pro bowls for kick returning. I'm almost tempted to take him.

I have been thinking about this.

I'd be very nervous about our #1 pick and starting corner returning punts with a huge target on his chest.

If we got him, its because we traded back. We won't take him if we're still sitting with the #1 pick.

Either way, is kind of risky to have him returning punts.

The Panthers will draft Cam Newton and he'll make the Pro Bowl after he leads us to the playoffs in his 2nd season. His 3rd season he'll make the Pro Bowl but won't be able to play in it because he'll be leading the Panthers to their 1st Super Bowl Championship! Then he'll make the Pro Bowl for the rest of his career like Peyton Manning.

And you are proof that brother and sister mating is a bad thing.

What if you knew how many pro-bowls the top prospects at their positions were going to have. Since QB is more important position lets give them less.

*I know probowls are not the best measurement of NFL success.

PP7- 4 probowls in 5 years.

Newton- 2 probowls in 5 years.

Gabbert- 2 probowls in 5 years.

Fairley- 3 probowls in 5 years.

Dareus- 3 probowls in 5 years.

Which one would you take?

Why?

How many probowls would it take to alter your choice to someone else?

I know there are soooo many other variables, such as QB's winning % and playoff success, but just humor me.

Darius. Pro bowl DT to help shore up the pass rush and run D? I take that all day every day AND it almost completes what could be one of the better DL's in football.

Some of our fans must of just quit watching games all last year, or just blocked out the bad memories lol.

Whoopdiefuggin doo, we got the best Dline ever!!! But they seem to be on the field the whole game and all those field goals aren't enough, why arent we winning omg??!!

I will take ANY improvement to one of the worst offenses to ever see the field.
