The worst thing that happened this offseason

1. Luck

2. Lock out

3. Saints signing Shaun Rodgers

4. Cam scamming

This, in that order exactly.

Luck staying in school, as far as I'm concerned was him giving a big middle finger to the Panthers. "I'd rather risk losing $40 million by slipping a few picks than play for the Carolina Panthers." That stings.

Now, as a result, we have the number one pick in arguably the worst draft class of the decade. Will have to overpay some scrub who could have just as easily gone at the number 5-10 spot, and still leave us short a Franchise QB.

I hate Luck with every fiber of my being, and sincerely hope he has a career ending injury this year at Stanford. (And FYI, I don't even wish that on Tom Brady, who is my most despised player in the NFL)

You may be right but we don't really know how the Panthers have him rated compared to Gabbert. There have been at least two mocks come out since the combine that have us taking Newton and John Clayton said we should take him even after the combine,

Not saying your wrong but it only depends on how the Panthers have him rated not Mike Mayock, Todd McShay, etc.

If it only depends on how the panthers have him rated the pn why are you using john clayton as a source?

No draft pick is a sure thing. Even Luck. I hate to bring up old stuff, but remember it was almost a toss up between Peyton Manning and Ryan Leaf. A toss up between Alex Smith and Aaron Rodgers. Jamarcus Russell would finally give Al Davis the vertical passing game the raiders have wanted. You never know. Who knows how Luck responds going into next season as a sure fire number one can't miss prospect? He might end up playing like Locker. What if it was all Harbaugh and Luck struggles to play well without him.

**Also never wish a career ending injury on anybody. Thats bad JuJu. Stuff like that bites you in the ass.
