Carson Palmer = Yes Please

Of course, he is going to do that wherever he ends up.

If he would be willing to renegotiate that contract and we determine that his arm isn't used up, then it might make sense... but I think the guy's arm is shot - he's Jake 2.0 at this point.

I think palmer is in win now mode. He's been apart of a rebuilding project his whole career. Him coming here would be like steve smith asking "in"to the panthers after playing with the raiders.

Yup, he's in a win now mode... too bad his arm isn't

If we could get him by swapping picks and gaining a 2nd I would be all for it! Here are his stats for his career:

I think he hurt his elbow 2 seasons ago?? Since then his stats are far better than anything we have even sniffed in recent years. He would allow Jimmy to sit and learn and keep teams from stacking the box against our run game.

Im all for it. He seems to be the best possible option for a veteran QB. Lets just hope the Bengals are willing to let him go.....

Yup, he hurt is arm two seasons ago and it's gradually been getting worse, so by all means lets go get him!

Carson Palmer has good career stats because he WAS a good QB at one point, just not anymore.

Tired of reading most of you say Palmer is not needed here.

News Flash: He would instantly be the best QB the Panthers have ever had.

6'5, 236lbs , he fits the physical mold that Rivera has stated he wants.

31 years old, 9 years experience. He has 4-5 good years left in him. He would not be a "stop gap"

First overall pick in 2003. Guess what, he wasn't a bust unlike the majority of QB's in this years draft inevitably will be.

Career QB rating of 86.9. Palmer was 6th in the league in passing in 2010 EVEN THOUGH the Bengals averaged a league low 3.6 yards per carry on the ground. Think teams were game planning against the run? Think again.

In short, shut your pie holes, we would be fortunate to get Palmer.

Do we need him? Yes. I would in fact swap firsts with them if they threw in Palmer.

Won't happen though. See Brown is the biggest ass in the NFL next to Ralph Wilson. He flat out would do the same thing that the Ford Family did to Barry Sanders, you play here or retire. Teams offered up tons of picks for sanders his first two years out, they said no.

Its going to be another case of Ego over ruling good business sense.

That's a lot of money left to pay him over the next four years of his contract. 11 million base salary this next season increasing by one million each year topping at 14 million in his final year. In addition to that a one million bonus added to that for each of his final three seasons '12-'14. All for a QB whose rating has dropped each year for five straight years from above 100 to the low 80's.
