Carson Palmer = Yes Please

The last thing a rebuilding team needs to do is give up a lot of draft value for an aging stop-gap that's been steadily declining ever since a major injury. And there's that massive contract to deal with as well.

If the Bengals wanted to give us their 1st + 2nd to move up to #1 and Palmer was basically thrown in for free AND he's willing to rework his contract then OK.

If they want to send us Palmer for a 6th AND again he's willing to rework his contract then that works as well.

Swapping 1sts and getting nothing else but Palmer? Sending them a 3rd or 4th for him? No.

Tired of reading most of you say Palmer is not needed here.

News Flash: He would instantly be the best QB the Panthers have ever had.

6'5, 236lbs , he fits the physical mold that Rivera has stated he wants.

31 years old, 9 years experience. He has 4-5 good years left in him. He would not be a "stop gap"

First overall pick in 2003. Guess what, he wasn't a bust unlike the majority of QB's in this years draft inevitably will be.

Career QB rating of 86.9. Palmer was 6th in the league in passing in 2010 EVEN THOUGH the Bengals averaged a league low 3.6 yards per carry on the ground. Think teams were game planning against the run? Think again.

In short, shut your pie holes, we would be fortunate to get Palmer.

101% agreed. I would much prefer him over the guy from the skins.

Because they were last in the league in rushing?

Rushing 27th. They passed 590 times and rushed 428 times. 58% of the time they passed. Their passing attempts were 5th in the league. They still managed to have 1 more rushing TD than Carolina although Carolina had 300 more yard on the same amount of carries.

Point is their offense wasn't bad. I'd love to have Palmer too. Palmer's 82 passing rating ranks him at 19th overall, but that's not very accurate in that he had the 3rd most attempts out of the top 19 players listed and his overall yardage ranked him at 6th. He is at 13th in competion percentage, but the top 13 are within 4% points of each other. The guy is still legit and we should do what it takes to get the deal done.

Looking at NFLN last night LaCanfora said he heard from someone in their front office they wish him best in his retirement because they aren't trading him.

The arrogance and ego of Mike Brown cracks me up. His team sucks, has for years and Will for years to come if he doesn't change his ways.

Palmer is too arrogant and full of himself for not honoring his contract and trying to bully management into fulfilling his wishes. The Panthers tend to stay away from high maintenance ego driven players like this.

So you would honor a contract to a team run by that moron. If I had 80 mil in the bank I would rather retire then play another down for the Bungals as well....
