It just amazes me that people hate this kid so much when he's never done anything to harm anybody here. If he took money in college, that just makes him one of thousands that have done it over the years. That's why so much concern goes into him. It's nothing against him personally. If he was being looked at as a 5th round draft pick, no one would care.

Maybe not you, but some of these people really do hate this kid. It's just too obvious by the way they pile on these negative threads even before they actually read the articles or see the interviews and find out what was actually said by Cam or about Cam.

At any rate, I'm not about to take the words of Alabama fans as the gospel, when the subject is Auburn and Cam Newton. That would be foolish.

Way to not answer the question. It is clear that you just simply want to bash the Tar Heels and not talk about Cam (which this thread is about, not the Heels). That's fine I could care less if you are a UNC fan or not.

Character is more important in your QB than in any other player. Ben and Vick would not have been in the headlines nearly as much if they played CB or RT. Sure other QBs committed crimes, and Atlanta cut Vick and Pittsburgh nearly cut Ben. I was rooting for Green Bay in the super bowl because I didn't want the big prick to get a ring after this season.

Will Kasay respect Newton? Beason? Will players folllow him? And will his character issues fade with time or become magnified by money? They are important issues.

I don't think we have heard the last from Vick, by the way.

It is more about what Cam might do than it is what he has done.
