D-Will a UFA

You can't coach up d-will talent. You keep bringing up stewarts stats, but he's productive because Williams does the dirty work. Stewart doesn't even practice because that foot kills and if you think he can do it all season by himself youre mistaken. Goodson is a 3rd back. If you're tryin to say we can can still be "pretty good" without dwill you're right. What's wrong with paying 8million for a running game putting up 2000 yards? Isn't that less than what Chris Johnson is going to make? It's not madden its what we actually have on the team already. Running backs come a dime a dozen but not dwills. He's staying anyway I don't know why were having this convo my source has already told me this. Oh yea, the whole point of comparing those running backs to will is that they don't split carries 50/50 like we do and d-will and stew can each get close to those numbers. We have something special in the backfield don't think its easily replaced. It's like saying "we don't need Steve smith and Andre Johnson, get rid of Johnson and put Trent guy in his place"

People continue to pull out the number of games DWill missed last year to try and argue that Stewart isn't anymore injury prone than DWill. I don't buy it at all. We all know DW could have played last year if there was anything worth playing for.

My whole point is we had one of the worst offenses in NFL history last year. We have an elite running back and a rookie QB. Why on earth would you ever let him go when we have the cap space to resign?

lol.. my bad, didn't mean to use stats while you throw out conjecture..

It's funny to see all the D-Will fanboys get their panties in a bunch at the thought of losing him. The fact is this is his last big payday. From the sound of it, Denver is gearing up to give him a big contract. If there is a bidding war....he's gone. Just accept it.

Carolina fans that want the team to sign other players besides him, need to realize he's getting payed, will be one of the top paid RB's in the NFL based on yearly salary and it will be in Carolina.

The Panthers are going to throw a ton of money at Dwill, CJ and JA. A bunch of it

I don't consider DeAngelo a luxury at this point, you need two good backs to have an effective running game and we've only seen flashes of what Goodson and Sutton can do at this point...

Cam will need an effective running game to have success early on, so DeAngelo is a key ingredient in Cam's success.

Brett Farve was throwing him the ball, just sayin.

Not that it matters, but this guy was in the league for like 20 years and is a sure-fire Hall of Famer and probably one of the most covered sports figures in the national media. And somehow, people still spell his name wrong...

CatMan 72...Who is a bigger priority.

Charles Johnson or Deangelo Williams?
