You guy's will be very disappointed when the Panthers take Blaine Gabbert #1. I think Dareus would be a complete stud for us at DT.. but our offense was ranked #32 in the league last season.. and we lost arguably our best playmaker in DWill. We will be taking offense with that pick.. and it all starts with a QB.

Hurney has such a good record of drafting in the 1st round that I won't be disappointed with whomever we draft.

We lost DLo? News to me.

QB is a huge reach, I think our defensive HC goes with what he knows.

To keep that in perspective, Marvin Austin had a better 10 yard split...

Marvin Austin has been impressive. I knew he was quick, but not that quick. They said that 1.63 10yd split was the average for RB's last year. If he can learn to be a little more disciplined, instead of always trying to make the big play, he will do very well in the NFL. I would say that Dareus fits the Panthers much better though, if they decide to go D-line at #1. That guy is beastly.

Heck, just about all of these big guys are impressive to me. It's hard for me to fathom 300+lbers being able to move like that.:ee:

DT will be addressed later in the draft imo so deep at that position this year.

I was in this same boat when we first started talking draft after the season ended. My mock even had us taking Marvin Austin and Jurrell Casey in the third round. However, when a guy is as dominant as Dareus is you don't pass on him for someone in the later rounds. You go and get the guy who has a chance to instantly change the LOS for you....
