also why are we "hating on Newton" because we don't want to draft him? I guess all of you who want to draft Newton are Green/Peterson/Fairley haters then, right?

I just don't think he is worth the #1 overall pick. If we traded down sure, but at #1 no way. I'm not "hating" by any means.

BTW, Cam missed high on two of those out throws, and the third one was right on target but the WR fell down coming out of his break. He started bad, but adjusted quickly. Isn't that what you want to see?

No, the fanbase is used to pathetic QB play. Seeing Cam adjust / getting better is an absolute sin to them.

Yeah, but these negative threads are extremely misleading. The title of this thread has nothing to do with what I heard with my own ears. Cam blamed himself and said that he was gonna start fixing his mistakes tomorrow. Not only that, but everybody on that set said that they liked Cam and thought he was sincere.

My butt. I don't believe for one second that you have actually watched all the film there is on Cam. If you did, then you would know for a fact that he improved as the season progressed. Mayock himself, who for all the world seemed like he just had a personal grudge against Cam, came away from his interview with a good impression of him, and said that his mechanical problems were easily fixable, and that he could be great, if he was willing to work hard.

because everyone did the exact same thing to Clausen. when it's involving the #1 overall pick, you absolutely have to look into everything the guy says. if they mess up this pick, it could set the franchise back YEARS.

I agree, you want to know what's inside the guy's head, but that doesn't include reactionary nonsense and reaching for negatives when they aren't there. That does not help us, not that we're making the decisions in the first place, thank God.
