QB Combine Thread

My point was you need to watch a QB for 3 years to truly evaluate him is what most experts say yet you are evaluating Moore based on a game and a half. IMO doesn't matter if it was his 3th year or his 6th, can't judge based on a game and a half.

A game and a half isn't enough to tell if he was ready.

I for one would be interested to see how Moore does in a new offense.

I defended Jake for three years because I felt his troubles were not completely his own. Jeff Davidson had a lot to do with that.

The same should be said for Moore. Clausen I have other issues with and I'm not sure he can overcome them. But Moore is intriguing.

We still shouldn't wait around and not address the QB position, but if we sign a FA I kinda hope it is Moore.

So I just watched the QB workouts and one guy who really impressed me who I'd never heard of is Josh Portis from Division II California University of Pennsylvania. He was hitting throws with ease and looked real comfortable doing it.

Might not be a bad option for a late round flyer...

Portis and Cam Newton share a common thread, they were both one time Gators. IIRC, he transferred to Maryland before Cal U PA

McElroy aces the Wonderlic:

Former Alabama quarterback Greg McElroy, who led the Crimson Tide to the national championship a year before Newton did it with the Tigers, aced his Wonderlic test, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. The exam is used to test players' mental aptitude, and McElroy correctly answered 48 of the 50 questions correctly in the 12-minute allotted timeframe.

Have you ever seen some of the questions? It amazes me how many more people don't do well. But I guess that's why they are athletes and not accountants right?
