Who are you watching at the combine?

Terrance Toliver, WR, LSU. oh how he has fallen in the eyes of the internet draft pundits. this guy was a being talked up as a 1st rounder if he came out last year, but now he is an also ran. he was the guy people wanted out of lsu, not lafell. physicly he is everything you want from a WR. really intrested to see his triangle numbers and the gauntlet. was productive even with the mess at QB at LSU.

DeAndre Brown, WR, Southern Miss. guy was one of the top WR prospects with aj green as a high schooler. top 100 guys coming out in 2008. had a great start to his freshman year but has been injured. was a freshman all american. he is a huge bodied WR with decient wheels. want to see if he is worth a late round flier (thinking he is this years gettis or more).

Drake Nevis DT, LSU. said to be the 2nd best SEC DT behind Fairley this year. lite small for a DT, but disruptive as hell. LSU has been loaded at DT the last few years so limited early production, but not a big concern to me at this point. not sure if where he may land this year. late 1st to early 3rd seam possible.

Kenrick Ellis DT, Hampton. SEC tallent in a small school league so the numbers are inflated. love to see if how he stacks up against the big time guys in terms of athletic ability. its clear he was a big fish in a small pond at Hampton, how does do the numbers measure up against the big time school guys like Phil Taylor, Sione Fua, and Jarvis Jenkins. is he better than them or messure in with a similar performance (and thus more just another guy) or in the relm of a Fairley and Dareus (different type players, but more a comparision on head and shoulders above the other dts in many ways)?

Phil Taylor, DT, Baylor (by way of PSU). monster this year. great in the senior bowl practice. NT with push. conditioning will be on display here to a degree (one of the big questions around him). senior bowl practice standout.

Marvin Austin, DT, UNC. is this really one of 2007s best high schoolers. is he the freak athlete everyone claims? we will get to finally see after he missed 2010. could be a steal.

Patrick Peterson, CB/S, LSU. is he a once a generation athlete or not? he is a guy that is up for the #1 pick with Dareus, AJ Green, Newton, Gabbert and others. is this the next Champ Bailey? Is he another Charles Woodson? if this is a guy that can be a defensive player of the year, or DB of the year multiple times, you have to really ask yourself, are any of the other guys in this class going to become the best at their position? maybe. thats the level of play people expect out of PP7. his size is unheard of at CB (hence why some think he is better suited for FS). could he be the next Ed Reid if moved to safety? i want to see if the hype is real atleast in shorts.

ALL the QBs. intresting class, some PS guys to 1st rounders lots of intrest here. Taylor and Yates are guys to just take a flier on and stick on a PS. hard to carry either as a 3rd QB, but intresting potential. Newton, Gabbert, Mallett, Locker...... do they pass the eye test at this point. hard to judge any without pads, a pass rush and a similar situation.

one that has already gone: Marcus Cannon. he needs to be a panther dammit.....
