Zod Is Viggo?

Viggo Mortensen is said to be at the top of the list to play General Zod in Zack Snyder's "Superman" reboot for Warner Bros. Pictures says Heat Vision.

Mortensen is currently in talks for "Snow White and the Huntsman" at Universal though, and it's thought only if those talk through would he had room in his schedule to take on the role of the evil Kryptonian most memorably played by Terence Stamp in "Superman II".

Warners hasn't commented on this report or any other casting rumors surrounding the film aside from the announcement of Henry Cavill as the Man of Steel. Production is slated to kick off shortly for release December 2012.
