Assuming we resign a couple of our LBers, look at our back 7 and tell me which starter is the weakest link.

Out of: Thomas Davis, Beason, Anderson, Munnerlyn, Gamble, Martin and Godfrey

easily Godfrey. Captain would be a beast if slightly bigger.

I've been hesitant to co-sign with these safeties being released, and I like both of them - Bob Sanders and Atogwe. Godfrey picked it up as the season went on last year, but if Sanders stays healthy he's on a Polamalu/Reed level, so if he came in for cheap I'd jump all over that.

Atogwe would be an upgrade over Godfrey as far as where they're at right now. Godfrey can still improve because he's still relatively young and showed flashes of great play last year. But, if we could bring in either of these guys for a good price, I'd be all over it, we need depth at the very least, whether that means Godfrey becomes a backup or whatever.

I think Sanders would be worth the gamble if you were ready to win now......roll the dice and see if you get a healthy year out of him if you are weak at S.

I thought he looked just as good as Gamble did when he took over late. I think Gamble has always been overrated but that is another topic. Capt's size will always hold him back from being better than average though.

In not hating but if gamble is that bad and captain is our best cb we need an upgrade. U cant win in this league with bad cb play. Just shows u how many holes we really have.

I want the Panthers to spend a lot of money on talented FAs, but not on DBs. On DTs. The secondary is fine, but we need to improve the pass rush.
