Panthers new TE?

The only TE we have under contract right now is Gary Barnidge who posted a whopping zero catches last season. He's not my first choice (or even second or third) but if we miss out on the top guys available, which we most likely will, and can get him for cheap then I say go for it.

Even if we do nab a top prospect if he's willing to sign for cheap then I'd love to have him as a #2. A two TE set with Shockey and Rudolph/Miller sounds pretty sick to me.

Just because Chud was the OC for Shockey on one of the best teams in NCAA history (Miami 01 cough*) doesn't mean he'll become a Panther. But it made me think about the great potential we have in Chudzinski so thanks in that regard OP.

He did do a good job. I was just connecting the dots with him and Shockey. Its not unusual for former coaches/players sticking together sometimes.

Seriously Chud got his hands on some amazing talent as the OC with Miami back then. That offense he helped run was pretty dynamic and aggressive.

Yeah it helps a coach look good when his offense is 3 deep with NFL prospects at almost every position. Butch Davis can recruit with the best of them.
