Yes.

The last thing I need is one of the animals (child included) running across the keyboard or accidentally deleting an important email.

I'd rather deal with the couple of extra seconds of having to put my password back in then compromise the data I'm trusted with. That's not extreme at all. It's literally the bare minimum that somebody could do next to nothing. Instead of chalking up blame to not knowing the future, we can prevent that future with just a little personal responsibility.

My computer has access to some of my clients proprietary data/methods and in some cases the PII of their constituents and members.

The eye tracker I have locks my system if I turn my back on my computer much less get up and walk away.

I guess it depends on your job and the company you work for.  My laptop auto locks really quickly, but I can unlock it with my fingerprint.

Most of the sensitive data I have access to is not something a random person would even know how to find.  But I don't need someone digging through my DMs with my boss or putting a few thousand people on blast in our company chat.

this "now" moment will likely pass in a few days when i and most people quit caring about this whole thing. still think it was an unfunny  immature jackass move and i have to say i'm not surprised by those who loved it and thought it was hilarious.

The most important aspect of a prank is that it has no singular victim or is not personal in any way. The genius of a prank is that it might elevate the fun of a rivalry or something like that.  This had a victim--and it was targeting an individual so it is malicious and stupid in that his father's job could have been compromised. As stated, I would have thought it was funny at age 22, but I grew up.  I think Jared Allen's friends did the same thing to him by calling him from a back room at his draft party---that was wrong too, but they were in their early 20s.

In fact the one story I did not share about the pranks between Yale and Harvard (not verified, but funny):

A friend of mine, Chip, was taking an exam in a business course that he had failed twice before.  He would have to drop out of his major if he failed it for a third time--he claimed the professor, Dr. Brown, despised him, and several others who had Dr. Brown's class with Chip confirmed that Dr. Brown's hatred for Chip was obvious.  Before the exam, Chip was up all night cramming, confiding to his roommate Jeff how nervous he was.  Jeff was understanding and listened carefully.  During the exam (an evening course) Jeff was at work delivering flowers for a local florist.  As Chip describes it, a woman (another student who worked with Jeff) entered the classroom with flowers and a card with the words "Dr. Brown" written on the card.  The professor immediately sent the girl out; Jeff was watching from the hallway.  She left the flowers on his desk and scampered out.  Chip laughed because he thought the professor, a man he hated, was being pranked.  A few minutes later, the professor opened the envelope, and read the card.  Chip was still laughing.  He walked toward the students, still taking a timed test, and stopped at Chip's desk, staring at him.  Chip stopped laughing.  He dropped the card on Chip's desk while snarling at him silently.  Chip read the card, "Dr. Brown.  I can't tell you how much I have grown under the three semesters of your tutelage and guidance.  You are my role model.  I will miss you." --Chip Fxxxxx.  Chip made a C.

    • Also, while the discussion is fun, I'm going to ask the original question in the OP again as nobody has mentioned one way or the other if they know..... Are they selling these in the team store yet? The timing of when these will start to ship out is really the only thing keeping me from putting my order in yet.  If I'll get it in a month or less, I'm ordering it now, if it's going to be a while, I'm going to wait to see if they offer the blue and/or the better version of them.
    • I'm not sure Hunter is some super conditioned athlete that stands out among professionals.  I think he was afforded opportunity that just doesn't happen in football.  That's the most unique aspect.  He plays relatively light contact positions.  I mean, I might wager there are tons trash players on MLS rosters better conditioned than Hunter.  but I also saw Travis Hunter get absolutely cooked late in a couple games.   That's why I don't think he can play both ways in the NFL.   It was largely a sideshow IMO at Colorado.  If you are getting cooked late in games because you are tired at Colorado......you can't pull it off in the NFL outside of some situational package.
    • Yeah but our recent history is probably less than a 20% "panning out" rate on Rounds 1-3. I am firmly in the prove it stage as far as that goes. Don't get me wrong, I like some of the guys we drafted a lot but I still need to see them develop and produce.
