Does anyone else immediately stop watching the draft videos when Tepper pops on the screen to talk to the draft pick?  I just get repulsed now at the sight of him and the sound of his voice.

I don’t mind him. He’s definitely villainized around here but honestly if you just accept that this organization was a fuging joke lonnnnggggg before he bought it and will be lonnnngggg after he is gone, it makes for a much more mellow, pleasurable Sunday viewing experience.

I mind.  Because it’s one thing to suck and suck with humility and a willingness to learn.  It’s another to suck and think you have it all figured out while you act like an asshole.  From throwing drinks on fans, to the hires, to the fires, to the “basement dwellers” comment about his own fanbase for calling him out on his idiocy.  His face pisses me off.  His voice pisses me off.  But I agree with you Montsta…  I’ve never been more apathetic or indifferent when it comes to our team for the reasons you mentioned.  I accepted long ago we were an incarnation of the Browns.  Hope it turns around and we find our footing under this regime…  But Tepper just irks me…

I mean, I am repulsed by it, but Canales does turn it around pretty quick.

I always put myself in other peoples shoes, and I feel like, do they even know/care about who the linebacker coach is right now?

But it will probably mean something to them down the road when they establish that relationship and reflect back on the night, so I tolerate it.

I am just thankful he has been less involved as far as we can tell lately, and it seems to be paying off with our PFF A+ grade for this draft.

I will hold my thoughts until we see how much up Dan and Daves ass he was in the draft confidential if they do one this year. His vibe feels like more hands off this go round but they haven't really given anything substantial media wise to decipher yet.

I feel like with guys at Tepper's level of ego, even getting them to take an imaginary backseat is an accomplishment.

The only cringe-worthy thing from the call videos that affect me is Dan using the words "man" like it's universal punctuation.

Then I feel bad for him because he's so happy but all he can say is "man" every other word.

The Teps appear to be super hands off in the D&D world compared to earlier.  The drink incident seems to be The turning point

Nothing wrong with "I'm the owner, welcome to the team, here's Coach"

Compared to, let's say, Dallas draft videos where Jerry is front and center? Tep is almost an afterthought

The full Draft Confidential, if it's released, will tell us more.

I think Tepper gets a bad rap.  The team was going downhill before he bought it. He was a new owner and took his lumps, but I do feel like he's learned and has the team in the right direction. It seems that when things are bad it's Tepper's fault and when they start turning around it's someone else's credit.  Morgan was a good hire and Canales was a good hire.

    • You can have 3 QBs on the roster, even if one is protected on the PS. I get that this is how it's done now in the NFL, but it doesn't mean it's a good idea. NfL teams also throw rookies in before they're ready, BY being a perfect example, instead of sitting them and letting them learn.  I understand Daltons presence, but he is not the future at the backup position. So it is in our best interests to churn through potential QBs to find someone with backup potential for when Dalton is gone, if BY is still the starter, to learn as QB2 at that time.  I like to get ahead
    • Also, the new regime in the front office is absolutely dog shit. Pure, unadulterated dog shit. Any connection I had there quit the franchise long ago because of the horrible work environment. So yeah, that ship has sailed. Lol
    • I still think people look at how Bryce ended the season wrong. Yes, he was clearly a million times better than he was as a rookie or even the start of last season, but he was still miles away from being some great QB.  He was a serviceable game manager who did some nice things, but he still wasn't a "#1 draft pick that you trade the farm for" type of player. Again, I'm never going to root for his failure, I'm rooting for him to become the best QB in the league as long as he's a Panther.  But he's still more on the wrong side of the fence at the moment for being our long term QB solution, he has to prove he can be that FAR more than the opposite, as he hasn't done anything yet to earn that distinction.
