That second round pick from last year. Sheesh

That's why it came to me. A good draft is not expected from people who do dumb poo like last year. Glad you could set me straight, scrow.

It’s only dumb bc he injured his knee again. If he had come on last year and looked like a poor man’s J Gibbs, it wouldn’t seem dumb. Hate it worked out that way for the guy and really hoping he works out and can stay healthy this time.

Taking an injured guy at a position that is neither a need or has much positional value is dumb. Why are you trying to argue this? It's a bad position. Showing me up for being negative isn't worth taking a bad angle.

We drafted Edmund Kugbila years ago just before David Bakhtiari went.

no point in harping on what could but didn’t happen. Always been a crapshoot.

The crapshoot is only worse when your GM ignores red flags and gets tunnel vision on his guy instead of making a pick that would actually help the team.

Tearing an ACL is not looked at nearly like it used to. There was no real expectation or indications that his knee would be an issue and he was the top RB in the class.

Not saying it was the right move, I would’ve loved the center Pitt took, but it’s one of those “understandable at the time, but looks awful with hindsight” kind of moves IMO

Considering our season was already over we probably should’ve just held him out his whole rookie year. I honestly can’t complain about that pick, I like the idea of trying to get an elite talent at RB on day 2 it just stinks he got hurt again immediately after debuting for us. Teams can get starters on day 2 obviously but more often than not those picks do not wind up working out, so comparing him to a starting LB is silly as it could easily go the opposite way and the other guy we pick could be a scrub not even worthy of being a backup. Brooks could still contribute to this team positively in a year and a half, he’s a talented kid

When Brooks was drafted, Hubbard’s contract was ending and the only guy we had locked up was Miles Sanders. That’s a need. Positional value can be argued for first round RBs, but taking who many thought was RB1 in the 2nd round is a smart move.

From my perspective, you’re taking the bad angle as well as being negative. Sometimes the cookie crumbles with bad injury luck. Unfortunately, that’s difficult to predict. If we didn’t roster anyone who’s tore an ACL, we’d miss out on a lot of quality players.
