I think boxing in Ransom as a box safety is not fair to him. 

Repeating this: 

Ransom played multiple roles for the Buckeyes, lining up as a free safety in Cover 2 or Cover 4, a deep safety in Cover 1 or Cover 3, a box safety, and a nickel defender. His versatility is due to his sky-high football intelligence and understanding of the coverage scheme from multiple positions

 

Both our safeties are versatile and can play the deep half or third.

Pegues from Ole Miss is intriguing.  310 pound DT who lined up as a wildcat QB and RB at times and scored 7 TD’s.  Great athlete for his size.  Lined up all over the defensive front.
