Yeah the run on OL & a QB2 going allowed for some strong defensive talent to slip.  Now, there's some QBs, RBs, TEs, & WRs that are very much in play at the top of this round. 

CLE go QB, WR, RB, TE

NE could go WR, OL, TE

HOU needs OL help badly

Titans could use protection for Ward - or WR/TE

Raiders & Bears could go OL (although they do have some D needs)

 

 

 

 

A fringe 1st on D could be there in the 40s.

When a guy with the SC safety's measurables doesn't go in the 1st it really makes me wonder why. I mean, on paper he's Sean Taylor 2.0. So why's he still available?

I didn't, he just feels more like a 4-3 only edge. The other guys are a little more athletic.

What him play from the edge against a LT and tell me he can't play a 3-4 OLB and can't cover TE in a 4-3 or a 3-4 defense.

I'm not seeing a day-one, three-down starter left on the board. We should stick with the pick, don't overhype the guys that weren't good enough to be taken in the first round, and let the depth of the draft help us out.

I saw somewhere Thibodeaux from Giants might be had for a third rounder. I can see them trading him, but a third might be less than they want. Potentially interesting option though if there is any truth to it.

I mean, I just said that. There's a reason he didn't do any athletic testing, and even the measurements that he did were disappointing. He wins with effort and technique, and that's nice. I like him in the third, but in the second I'd prefer someone with more physical gifts. It's less risky.

I do think those are the best guys left. Not sure if it's by enough to trade up, and I don't think EZ would be an every-down starter. Nice rotational rusher, though.

The 3rd is where I had him slotted but I fear Dan will give that pick away.

Yeah…there’s a “yeah but” with all these edge guys tho. Even EZ, he’s not stout at holding the point, same with Swinson Green might be a raper, Oladejo is raw. The buckeye duo aren’t  that quick. Pick your poison. One deficiency doesn’t seem all that worse than others.
