If Mason Graham falls we'd better damn well take him.

Even with such a slam dunk of a pick, there will be many huddlers claiming it was a horrible pick and Morgan has no clue what hes doing

I seriously doubt anyone is going to trade with us. There's no qb worth trading up for this year and I do not see a skill position player anyone would trade up for other than Jeanty should he fall to us. Even then the other team would have to be convinced NO would take him with the very next pick. I don't see that happening.

IDK, the draft is set up for chaos with the uncertainty.

I could see us getting a good return if Jeanty is available at 8

Someone would have to want to jump the Bears in that scenario. Because if he isn't selected before our pick he will go to the Bears.

Maybe we should just be hoping he falls to 8 so the Bears will try to trade up, that might be an even better scenario than trading with the Cowboys.

We're not taking Jeanty at 8, best case scenario might be Jeanty falls to 8, we swap with the Bears, they take Jeanty, Saints take a QB at 9, and then we get to pick at 10 the same player we'd have taken at 8, but pick up whatever the Bears give us to make that swap.

The Saints are not taking Jeanty. They need defense and a qb. The Bears do not have to trade up because he will fall right into their lap.

But that's exactly why the Bears would need to trade up for him, because the whole league will know they plan on taking him if we pass on him, it won't be hard to bluff the Bears that we have someone else trying to trade up to take Jeanty, such as the Cowboys.

And that's even if a bluff is needed, if that scenario plays out, I guarantee we'll have trade offers for someone to try and get Jeanty anyways.

I also think it's all a moot discussion anyways, as I don't see him getting past 6.  Someone is trading up with the Jags to take him at 5 or I think he's going to the Raiders at 6.

You have no cards to bluff with. The Saints want to trade down, everyone wants to trade down. Nobody wants to trade up because they know they can just sit tight and get a good player to fill a need. If Jeanty doesn't go in the top 5 he will fall to the Bears at 10. If they pass and go OT then Dallas gets him. I think he ends up in Dallas without them trading up. I wish they would trade with us if he drops out of the top 5 but they know who will want to trade up as well as the Bears already. So you will not bluff anyone into a trade.

    • At this point you have to assume it's by design. We've fired and hired multiple head coaches hired a new GM. What's the remaining constant? David Tepper. Also bare in mind the XL pick was tipped way before the week before the draft anyways. Bryce Young's own father was lobbying for him on twitter. This goes way beyond just not being able to keep a lid on things. This is the way our organization operates for better or worse and it's how things have been since ownership changed. Tepper might not be front and center anymore but nothing behind the scenes has changed. People might as well reconcile with that now.
    • I think the first four picks are already locked - 1. Ward 2. Hunter 3. Carter 4. Campbell Draft starts at 5, Jacksonville should go Graham or Walker but might actually go Jeanty. If they go Jeanty, then the Raiders are taking 6. Membou. Then the Jets will have their choice of Walker or Graham, and the Panthers will pick whoever is left unless there is a good enough trade down scenario. And I actually do think Dart goes 9 to the Saints
