I have no clue where this WR6 thing is coming from. ESPN rated him just below Odunze over BTJ at 4 and Brugler has him at WR3 in last class. There has to be some random site showing this that I’ve yet to see. It’s a weird point as you won’t see many Nabers and MHJs in draft classes. OSU does have one coming up in 2 years but he will be a top 5 easy.

A Lot of people had T-Mac rated 4th or 5th in this class.

I think he makes an immediate impact and considering the master class that was day 2... This will probably end up being one of the Panthers best draft classes ever.

I once heard, and have never been able to get it out of my mind, that you are solid if you draft 2 starters (immediate).  TMac is a day 1 starter.  Scourton is a day 1 starter.  I think Ransom has a good chance of starting on day 1.  He has the tools the Panthers covet.  Princely will probably rotate in, so I won't count him. Etienne will rotate in. Cam Jackson will probably rotate in. Evans will rotate in at TE, if he does not start.

McShay thought it was a reach, but conceded due to the lack of blue chip WRs Tet was going high anyway. He wasn't a fan of the Scourton pick either at where we picked in round two in the trade up. He felt it was a reach because we passed on getting a better EDGE prospect in round1.  His draft evaluation (in this particular episode I watched) was not about grades but fits and value.  He didn't think our first two picks met the value of where selected them.

He really liked Ransom pick (I think we all do) and thought the Evans selection was sneaky good.

    • Yeah, we kinda found out didn't we. A lot of the people who whined constantly left and a lot of the toxicity just magically vanished with them with zero changes in how we moderated the site. Wild. It's almost like the folks who were constantly complaining about toxicity were causing a lot of the toxicity. Listen, some folks were unhappy here so they left and created a place where they're happier. Good. That's how the internet should work. That's the beautiful thing about the internet. If there isn't a virtual place that you think should exist you can create that place. But you really have to stop trying to drag us back to that place of toxicity. If you like the Discord group, cool. If you still like it here too, great. But don't keep dragging up this bullshit. Do you see me going over to their group and calling them a bunch of whiners? No. They created the place that they wanted and I'm genuinely happy for them. Participate here without constantly bringing that poo up or just leave and stay over there.
    • He has the arm talent you want with good size and mechanics (can break down under pressure). I feel like PSU never really turned him loose, but they also didn’t hard any great weapons not named Warren. I could see him as a Herbert type prospect who makes a better pro when he gets away from his college’s scheme.  I doubt he makes it out of round 1 unless he regresses big time without Warren.
    • I think Bryce is going to benefit from TMac’s ability to track the ball especially when the play breaks down. Legette wasn’t great at that last year. Im interested in seeing if XL comes back this year putting more of an emphasis on using his hands to catch the ball. If you go and watch all of XL’s receptions his final season at South Carolina he catches the ball the same way he did his rookie season. He’s never trusted his hands and it shows up when he’s asked to catch the ball over his shoulder. There’s always going to be frustrating drops if that’s how he’s going to try and catch the ball the rest of his career  Scourton lost 20-25lbs after the college season. He actually played at a similar weight to his A&M weight his sophomore season at Purdue when he had 10 sacks. However, he said he felt his body was more tighter (weight wise) carrying that extra 20-25 at Purdue than at A&M. He said the weight loss wasn’t even done purposely but just him learning how to eat correctly.
