Because their wide receiver compliment each other. Legette and Tet do the same things well which is run go routes. Neither excel in their route running, neither excel in getting off of press, and neither can get open against man over the middle of the field.

Golden is a guy who could create 4 yards of separation off of press on any route because of his short area quickness. If you paired him with Legette and Theilen/Coker, I’d get it. Pairing three stiff receiving options with one fluid guy in Theilen just doesn’t make sense to me, at all.

Steelers just paid big for DK to pair with Pickens.  You need talent in the WR room.  XL is a more natural Z receiver with some crazy speed for his size.  Tet is a legit X who you play like Evans or Higgins.  You can put XL in that role but he is better served as a Z IMO.  Coker is the slot that replaces AT and relieves him throughout the year.  Both XL and Tet were solid YAC receivers as well in college.

Nalo not Tet. He hates to be called Tet.

Tmac is more of a finesse WR than a Evans or Higgins.

Now for all my bashing on the pick.  I will agree, if you get the ball in Tmac's hands.....he offers more after the catch than some probably think.  While doesn't have great speed and separation...he has good moves w/ the ball in his hands.  I just worry you are going to have to scheme Tmac up too much to get open.  Don't think he naturally is going to be able to get open easy at this level.

Yep people are not factoring this in either. Not only do we add a stud WR1 who catches literally everything, but we also put our other hopeful stud WR in a much better position for this year. I was as hard on XL as anyone this year but I do think with a year under his belt + TMac on the field with him, he is going to look good this season.

Nalo. I'm going to keep reminding everyone of what his real nickname is until you all get it right.

During a pre-draft appearance on ESPN, receiver Tetairoa McMillan clarified that his preferred name isn't "Tet" but "T-Mac."

that said, I'm going to call him T-Bone.

If he performs poorly I approve of this message.

It's got the sort of room to run in all kinds of directions.   It was mentioned in the article so I assume folks in AZ tried to make it a thing at some point.

8. Carolina Panthers: WR Tetairoa McMillan (Arizona)

Grade: B

The Panthers have spent a lot of assets on wide receivers over the past two drafts, but adding McMillan gives Bryce Young a true “X” wide receiver and moves Xavier Legette to a WR2 role that’s a bit more appropriate for him. The Panthers have a talented offense with a deep offensive line and running game and now McMillan adding depth and starting talent to the wide receiver room.

Player comparison: Tee Higgins

He specifically explained what his preferred nickname is last night. He said he will accept T-Mac but not Tet and his friends call him NALO and it's his brand. His Grandmother approves Tetairoa and Nalo so I'm using Nalo.

and AT was about to retire after this past season.

Hubbard, XL, Tmac, Coker, Saunders.   That's not in theory what you should have for a PG distributor you dump the farm in named Bryce Young.

CMC, DJ Moore, Anderson, Curtis Samuel, etc. was the Bryce Young O build.

Only the Panthers do a bizarro world version of a rebuild.

Pretty much spot on analysis of the selection.  Maybe he works out but appears super slow quick area speed, and seems like the panthers would have benefited more from the penn te
