Tony Pauline: Patriots taking LB Jalon Walker @4

Recommended Posts

Said potentially...  when it's all said and done... id bet they addres oline at 4. Maye took a beating and you don't invest in a Qb and then don't protect him. Hypothetically,  if Walker did go 4...  the draft  gets even crazier. I know some scoff at trading motor but if 1 of the tackles is at 8 and they feel they can get decent compensation(1st or 2nd)  for Moton, do it.  I love Moton but with the money getting tight on the oline, you have to reset some of it somehow and all 3 tackles projected early are studs.

Panthers have shown their cards to the whole entire league by saying they love and want to draft Walker. This is just the Patriots leaking info to see if the Panthers would bite and move up to #4 to draft him. Patriots want to take Campbell but they don't see his value at the #4 pick, if they can move down and pickup picks and still draft an OT, why not?

Honestly, if we did this and took the top OT at #8, I really would not hate it

Same here!! It'd give us true BPA at 8 and allow us to use that high 2nd to address edge or wr. Still having the other 2nd to address  the other position.  The big thing is  having Brady on the roster too as a swing tackle.  Think we have spent some time with the Texas tackle  too.

Yeah no one is trading up unless it’s into the top 3.

As we get closer to the draft I have this feeling we end up with Graham, Warren, or the top OT available if we stay at 8.

Listening to Shechter, I'm thinking that Graham may become a real possibility.
