I feel like this front office has lost it's fuging mind.

It’s important to remember no one in this building has proven yet that they’re even close to competent when it comes to the draft.

I think Dave can coach. 5 wins with last years group is a true miracle, and they went toe to toe with the Chiefs and Eagles.

But last years class looks like a total flop right now. Not a one of them has come even close to demonstrating they can be even an average starter in this league. With the evidence we have to work with, there’s zero reason to think they’re going to do a good job this weekend.

Yeah, it basically feels likes Marty Hurney minus the slam dunk 1st round picks which basically equals just straight up trash. LOL

I'll bet anyone on this board a Carolina Huddle Cool Buck that the Panthers will draft someone that wore a Gamecock uniform.  Never been more sure of anything.

Definitely possible they have several prospects that could potentially make sense for us.

It’s truly remarkable how bad our draft was last year. Dan Morgan could’ve just showed up without any preparation and picked “Mel Kipers best available” at each pick slot and had better success

they had a top 30 visits w/ 3 of them.  And then there are couple more defensive front 7 players that could make sense on top of them.

and I'm firmly of the belief we have to have some long time scout that cover that team that is a heck of a salesman of his work vs others in house.  We sure do hit that well pretty often vs the entire power 5.

I actually think last year's class has more potential than our last several. Granted, that factors in Jalen Coker who was a UDFA, but still. If XL can stop trying to catch rodents long enough to learn how to catch footballs there is potential in last year's class. I think Sanders will be a solid TE and Wallace has flashed at ILB. Smith-Wade has potential as well.

I just don't like what I'm hearing about the players we seem to be enamored with relative to where we would be picking them. Donovan Ezeiruaku is a player I like, but not in the top-10 or even top half of the 1st round. That's the kind of player you take after trading down into the 20s. Water Nolen is a great player, but has significant character red flags. Mykel Williams is the definition of traits over performance.

I fear we're about to make a big mistake in the 1st round tomorrow night.

I’ve said this time and time again. Using any consensus board in the world we start last years class with Ladd McConkey and Cooper DeJean.

That does increase odds in your favor a bit. I'm not sure I can take that bet without at least a list of players that are possible picks in that range.

Sanders - DT

Burch - DT/EDGE

Kennard - EDGE

Knight - LB

Hemmingway - DT

That's 5 defensive front 7 players projected around rounds 2-4.   A lot of it depends on what happens w/ the first pick.   But the defensive front 7 is the red circle on the team I think Morgan will over draft this time over better players.   I'll make a name prediction on which one after they make their Thursday night pick.

and the Panthers for whatever reason, go to the Gamecock well more than any other University I think in all of college football.
