They're making this poo way too obvious. If its clear you're desperate for something to happen then no one's going to give you a good deal, you've already lost all your leverage.

This is basically the perception our FO to the rest of the league right now.

I think we trade down to #12 with Dallas for a 3rd. When you look at the Pick value chart picks 12 and 76 from Dallas work almost evenly for pick 8. Then watch us take Walter Nolen at 12 and try and get his teammate Princely Umanmielen in the 2nd. That would leave us with left 2 3rds 2 4ths and 3 5ths to address depth and other needs.

I would stay put and take Jihaad Campbell.  Was an edge rusher on a team loaded with edges and they said "let's get him on the field he's too good" and put him in at off-ball LB.  Seems pretty no-brainer in this draft, unless we trade back.  Only trade back if somone is drunk on Jeanty or Shadeur and offers too much.

Campbell is a MLB in a 4-3 defense.  He's not a full time edge rusher. In a 3-4 like we run he will be an ILB. He's a baller but we run the wrong defense to take advantage of his strengths.

I think if they trade down there's a high chance they trade back up into the second or third. That's why I'm not really fussed about trying to trade down and get more picks because they'll most likely be used to move around on day 2.

Im probably not going to like our pick, since I personally want Mike Green or Donavan Ezeraku. I fully expect it to be Jaylon Walker. Won't be mad at it, but it doesn't feel like a slam dunk by any means.

Probably similar to how I felt drafting Brown or Horn, I wasn't super excited but they ended up being good at least.

The only pick ive been horribly upset by in recent memory was the 2016 draft and Vernon Butler. I was mad as a mother fuger!! Felt similar selecting DJ Johnson and Jonathan Mingo,  although Butler was worse.

If im ever super upset at a pick its usually a bad sign lol

Wouldn't be mad at that tbh. We really need to start hitting on those R2 - R4 picks though. No more gamble luxury picks like Jonathon Brooks in R2 or weird curveballs like DJ Johnson in R3.

Just pick good players with good production without injury issues. I think the Panthers in recent years have had a big issue with gambling on projection vs just taking the dudes who already fuging produced well in college.

Best speculated return I've seen suggested so far is an extra mid second round pick.

The best 2nd round pick we've made in the last 8 years was Taylor Moton all the way back in 2017. And that was a Dave Gettleman pick. We are simply not good at this.

You want to know who to pick? And this is easy, you take Tyler Warren first, Kenneth Grant second, Josiah Stewart third, Xavier Restrepo fourth, maybe Cam Skattebo 5th...

Man, it's NOT HARD. At all.

don't love those players personally but love the plan. Having two thirds and two fourths means you could probably package those two thirds to trade up for a high second. So we would have pick 12 + early second + late second + two fourth rounders. That would be legit

Shaq, Butler, and Legette all pissed me off pretty bad.

Too many scenarios in play. We are waiting to see what Jacksonville and LA does before finalizing a decision. Could see Graham drop, Walker be there at 8, Williams or Stewart be the Edge they want, get another OL, or YOLO and Starks be the pick. They could trade down and look to compile another 2nd or 3rd and further add to the defense. Nothing is in stone but I know that most “fans” may not be happy that the pick wasn’t a sexy media name they were hoping for.

That was the past time to move forward hoping the new staff does better then previous regimes. No matter what we need more impact players do a trade should and seems like our number one priority.

I like the fact that we're putting it out there, there's no harm in that.

I do too we can’t get tricked out of our spot but we can make sure anyone looking to jump ahead of another team knows we’re open for business. A simple additional second is gold this season based on the amount of talented players from midway through the 1st until the back of the 2nd round it’s what we need to complete our roster.
