Albert Breer: Panthers have hung a for sale sign on the No.8 pick

If all we can get is a 3rd they will have to have a sweetener added to make it work. A straight up 3rd would be a bad trade

It's worth more than anyone available at 8. I don't care about the trade value chart with that pick. I would be happy with more but it would be enough this year for me to understand. I agree with the article that there are 2 teir 1 guys, no more. Then it's just preference for a while after that and the 2nd is way more attractive in value to talent. I have been vocal about wanting an extra 2nd this year so I'm great with that as the floor.

when you are not drafting BPA then sure it makes perfect sense to trade down.especiqlly when you take in consideration the fact that this particular draft class has an over abundance talented  of edge rushers

now if the Panthers were seriously considering taking BPA at #8 I would be more inclined to stay put

& another thing let's say if Shedur Sanders is still avliable at #8 & you do not trade back with a Qb needy team wanting to trade for Shedur Sanders at #8:. then all at the same time you have just let your division rival more than likely draft a really talented Qb at #9...

just Saying

They're making this poo way too obvious. If its clear you're desperate for something to happen then no one's going to give you a good deal, you've already lost all your leverage.

That and all the other teams know this draft doesn't have much top end talent and the players are pretty similar in skill level from pick 10 to pick 45.

I think the only players that would bring some serious trade up consideration for the Panthers would be Mason Graham, Ashton Jeanty, or Sheddur Sanders fell to 8. I could see the Cowboys trading up for Jeanty or Steelers trading up for Sanders.

Unlikely but at least logically possible. Steelers would have to give us their 2026 first and at least one pick this year imo. Which would sting this year but would be really nice to play around with two 1sts next year. You could bundle those and trade up for a dominant WR 1 or something in 2026.

This. A trade down honestly sounds like a good idea but getting fleeced just to say we traded down doesn't. I'd rather take the BPA at #8 than move down for considerably less than traditional market value.

Amen.
