I kinda hate getting our pick spoiled but at least the Huddle has more Time to debate

Yeah, it's weird all of the love Tyler Warren is getting. Dude is nowhere near as talented as Bowers, Pitts, or Hockenson were in college. Nothing on his tapes screams "wow". He is a late 1st round talent at best and we would be stupid to draft him at 8

Edit: Not to mention this draft class is deep at TE. Honestly, I don't see much separating Warren from Loveland

There's not much of a separation between the two, true, but both are solidly first rounders.  In the second round we would be looking at TE3 at best and even that's a stretch since we are picking 25th with the Rams original draft spot.  TE4 is Fannin Jr. and his game is very similar to a guy we already have in Sanders.  Yes, Fannin Jr.'s numbers were insane, but he ran up the numbers playing some really, REALLY bad teams in the MAC as Bowling Green's #1 receiving target.  Needless to say, he wouldn't have gotten those type of numbers playing in the SEC or Big 10 and NFL defenders are better than guys he played in the MAC.

For a fan base who absolutely adores and respected Greg fn Olsen there's a ton of people on here who devalue or don't understand what an immediate impact on an offense schematically having a true #1 TE does for you. Cam wouldn't have even been close to player he was without Olsen that's a fact.

BY needs an Olsen to grow, that's simple math for you southerners to grasp lolol

That's what you want out of a top 10 pick immediate impact and Warren/Loveland would do that.....stop being short sighted and understand our TE spot is as horrible in the NFL as it gets.

Bolded part is the only thing I'd take issue with.  I have not been impressed with Allar as an NFL prospect.

I watched a fair amount of Penn St games last year, and my thoughts were Warren is mostly feasting on easy stuff that's not going to work regularly in the NFL.  He is a good football player, but I don't see generational ability.

He has the arm strength you want and they rarely let him use it.  Generational talent, agree, haven't really seen it.

Bryce needs much better slot/middle of the field and backfield receivers.  That's basically his game.

I still say XL was picked back when 99% thought we were moving on from Bryce Young in short order.  XL fits what Canales did in Seattle and Tampa.   Still need that role in any offense but all the bread and butter Bryce throws need upgrades.

There's like 8 players in this draft that have consensus first round grades. "Normally you have about 14-16 players with first round grades.

Depending on the team this could change but consensus is the following.

Ward, Hunter, Carter, Campbell, Jeanty, Graham, Walker, Membou

Lot of teams have Loveland rated higher than Warren. I'd not be surprised if Warren fell draft night.

Our offense devalues the TE, so why take one early when he isn't going to be used as a weapon?

if Bryce Young is going to be your QB......the O simply has to cater to what he does well and doesn't.

What Canales did in Tampa and Seattle isn't Bryce Young.   It was home run football downfield.

We are not drafting a tight end in the top 10 over all our other needs. They just took one they were high on last year and they are gonna develop that guy along with the receivers.

our biggest need is still developing and answering the QB question.

I mean I love Allar as a prospect, he is the old school big strong pocket qb.  That said he needs to take a big leap this year

Bryce is going to have to learn to run Canales offense or be shown the door.

It took olsen 2 teams and 6 years to figure it out.  Thats just the normal curve it seems for te in the nfl
